Registration onto the Animal Tracker database for your pet/s or litter/s is
included in the price. I only use EU-manufactured microchips which are 100%
quality controlled and follow ISO standards. My microchips are coated with a
Parylene coating – an anti-migration treatment that stabilises the position of the
microchip under the animal’s skin.

DOGS
The Microchipping of Dogs Regulations requires from 6 April 2016, every dog that is older than eight weeks must be microchipped, their details recorded on an approved UK database.
If you buy or rehome a dog, or if you change your address, you must also update
your details on the database.
CATS
All keepers of cats in England must ensure their pet is microchipped before it the age of 20 weeks and their contact details are stored and kept up to date in a pet microchipping database. Owners found not to have microchipped their cat will have 21 days to have one implanted, or may face a fine of up to £500. While microchipping your cat is not compulsory in Scotland, Wales or Ireland the Cats Protection Charity’s Campaigns and Government Relations team are working hard to call for the compulsory microchipping to be introduced in Wales, Scotland and Ireland also.
K9 ultrasound scan, confirmation of pregnancy

The best time to have your pooch scanned is anytime between 25 and 30 days after 1st mating. Otherwise, the scan could result in a false negative outcome. My ultrasound service consists of a 30-minute consultation where I will confirm if your bitch is pregnant, and I can give an approximate indication as to how many puppies your bitch is expecting.
The consultation also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding what to expect during the whelping process. I can give guidance on the regulations regarding breeding, the sale of puppies, KC registration, and caring for pregnant mums along with when to flea, worm, and microchip your litter.
Anal gland expression

If the anal glands are not emptied they can become impacted and an abscess can form, leaving your pooch in a smelly, bloody, painful mess.
Signs to Look for
Signs your dog’s anal glands need emptying:
Scooting or dragging their bottom along the floor. This is a sign that your dog is in discomfort and irritation is present.
Licking and biting at their tail or bottom, being agitated and uncomfortable.
The presence of an unpleasant odour, (very pungent fishy-like smell), may leak from the dog’s bottom and you can smell its presence.
Staining – in some cases, there may be a stain where your dog sits or lies down, or on your clothes if they have been sitting on your knee. This may be brownish in colour.

I take care to get to know your pet in the comfort of your own home.
Clipping your dog’s nails in a safe environment ensures your dog is relaxed and accustomed to their surroundings. No stress is key, and we want this to be a positive experience.
I introduce the clippers to them gradually, letting them sniff them and get acquainted so they know they are no threat, and give them continual encouragement and reassurance throughout.

Oral diseases have a large range of painful issues. The cause of these diseases is very controversial. One can be bad oral hygiene and care. The most common diseases are:
CARIES
Caries or tooth decay, are caused by a combination of factors, including bacteria in your mouth, frequent snacking, sipping sugary drinks and not cleaning your teeth well.

Periodontitis is caused by achronic inflammatory disease in the tissue connecting the tooth root surface to the alveolar bone. This is the most common reason for tooth loss in adults.

Gingivitis is a result of bacterial buildup on the teeth. Most people can treat gingivitis themselves, by starting good oral hygiene practices.
APHTHOUS ULCERS
To avoid returning ulcers, start a good hygienic orla practice and avoid food that has high acidic properties, e,g, pineapples.
